GREELEY — University of Northern Colorado officials have decided to reinstate the Mexican American studies major following more than a month of protests related to the university’s March 25 decision to suspend the major.
The decision to suspend the major upset students, who saw it as a cultural insult.
The Greeley Tribune reports (http://tinyurl.com/nyqzkly ) school officials said the college major was suspended because of low enrollment.
Three of five publicized potential jobs were human relations positions. The two others were event planner and translator.
