Giancarlo Stanton is a human highlight reel when it comes to hitting a baseball. Stanton hit a mammoth home run against Dodgers starter Mike Bolsinger Tuesday night that was measured at 478 feet.
Stanton’s homer ended up bouncing off the top of the left-field pavilion and out of Dodger Stadium.
There have been a total of five home runs hit out of Dodgers Stadium. Stanton joins Mike Piazza, Mark McGwire and Willie Stargell (two homers) as the only players to hit a ball out of Dodgers Stadium.
The Dodgers and Marlins public relations staff even had a little bit of fun on twitter over who was going to pay for the damages caused by Stanton’s blast.
Where do we send invoice for roof repair, ?
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers)
That would imply the ball has landed, to which you have no proof, .
— Miami Marlins (@Marlins)
