
1 Vagrant tries to sleep in car. On April 25, Denver police arrested a homeless man after he shattered a car window and slept in the vehicle. A witness told police he was sleeping in the 2200 block of Lawrence Street when he heard a crashing noise and found a man lying across the front seat of a car, covered in glass.
2 Suspect returns to RTD stop. A man was cited for trespassing April 26 when he returned to the Civic Center Station, 1550 Broadway St., after he had been previously banned. Security recognized the suspect, who had been suspended for allegedly calling in a bomb threat.
3 Insult added to injury. On April 26, a woman called Denver police after she was assaulted and robbed in the 1400 block of 16th Street. The woman said the suspect approached from behind, punched her in the back of the head and grabbed her backpack. During a brief struggle, he called her a derogatory name.
4 Suspect caught stealing car. A woman called Denver police April 28 after she observed a man stealing her car in the 19500 block of East Robins Drive. The victim said she saw the suspect open her car door and ran over to stop him. She tried to pull him by his jacket, but he pushed her away. (Not on map.)
5 Robbery foiled by passing car. On April 24, Denver police responded to an attempted robbery at 7-Eleven, 1103 Yosemite St. Police learned two people were in the store when three suspects entered with guns and demanded money. Before the clerk could open the register door, the suspects were spooked by a passing car and fled.
