An Eastern Plains man was arrested in Nebraska on Wednesday night after authorities say they found 37 pounds of marijuana concealed in an air compressor of a minivan he was driving.
Raymond A. Perez, 55, of Log Lane Village in Morgan County, is suspected of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, the Nebraska State Patrol said in a news release Friday.
The patrol says Perez was stopped by a trooper on Interstate 80 in Minden, Neb., just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Perez was stopped as he headed eastbound in a 2005 Chevrolet minivan for following another vehicle too close, according to the release.
Officials in Buffalo County, Neb., say Perez is being held at the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bond and has been arraigned.
