Powdered thief. A woman had her iPad and smartphone stolen from the lockerroom at 24 Hour Fitness, 333 Dad Clark Drive, Highlands Ranch, on May 10 while she was using the restroom. Before the theft she observed a woman with red, dyed hair and chest tatoos looking in the lockers, saying she was “looking for her powder.” A gym staffer said the red-haired woman walked out of the gym quickly and left in a gray truck.

Breaker taker. The owner of a construction company doing concrete work at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Cottoncreek Drive in Highlands Ranch reported on May 11 that his “breaker” — a vehicle-mounted jackhammer — had gone missing sometime since May 8. It was valued at $14,000 to $15,000.

Hooligans. Four males between the ages of 16 and 17 entered the Safeway at 9255 S. Broadway, Highlands Ranch, and vandalized property, smashing three jars of mayonnaise in an aisle and a watermelon at the front of the store before fleeing on foot.

Stump dump. A official with Abiding Word Lutheran Church, 8391 Burnley Court, Highlands Ranch, found on May 10 that someone had dumped a pile of dead trees behind the church. He estimated it would cost $100 to rent a trailer and move them to the dump.

Broke down and busted. Police responded to the intersection of Jordan Road and Aventerra Parkway, Parker, on May 8 for a vehicle broken down there. The driver, a man from Englewood, had a revoked license and was wanted in Arapahoe County. He was arrested.
