The intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue has reopened after it was closed Tuesday afternoon during a shooting investigation.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said police were preparing to do a drug stop when the suspect vehicle halted. The driver got out and told police that a passenger had shot himself.
The passenger was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver has been arrested, Jackson said. The investigation is ongoing.
The intersection was re-opened at about 4:30 p.m.
