Denver police have arrested a 54-year-old man who they suspect tried to sexually assault a woman this month on the Auraria campus.
James Holmes was arrested for investigation of first-degree assault and sexual assault for the May 9 attack, police announced Wednesday.
The attack happened around 2:05 p.m. on the second floor of the West Classroom building, campus police said.
The woman said her attacker grabbed her, pushed her to the floor and attempted to rape her. She fought back and was able to get away.
