
1 Two wheels equal 10 grand in bike theft. A representative of a bike company reported a theft that occurred May 3 at the Bike Junkies event at Golden Bike Shop, 722 Washington Ave. The reporting party suspected that at some time during the six-hour event, someone stole a Santa Cruz Nomad mountain bike with pink decals that was on display. It was valued at $10,000.
2 Drive-by window shooting. Golden police reported May 1 to Cannonball Creek Brewing Company, 393 Washington Ave., where a window pane on the building’s west side was shattered. Officers on scene believed the window was shot at using a small-caliber firearm, possibly by a motorist driving on U.S. 93. There were no suspects.
3 Suspected stalking. A couple staying at Golden Terrace South RV Park, 17801 W. Colfax Ave., Golden, reported May 5 possible stalking by another couple driving a white car. They said that more than once, the car approached them and a man popped up from laying in the passenger seat, giving them menacing looks.
4 Domestic decor violence. A woman was arrested for assault May 6 in the 20000 block of Inca Road, Indian Hills. The woman and her fiance were arguing when she allegedly broke a wood panel off a bathroom door and hit him with it.
5 Sound off at Stix. Jeffco Sheriff’s deputies went to Golden Stix, 25567 Conifer Rd., Conifer, on May 5. A customer reported the manager refused to turn down the radio at the restaurant. An employee said the customer caused a disturbance and was not welcome back.
