Seven members of the Denver Pioneers men’s lacrosse team earned All-American honors on Thursday.
Sophomore attackman Connor Cannizzaro and freshman face-off specialist Trevor Baptiste earned spots on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America first team. They became only the second and third Pioneers — joining Cameron Flint in 2013 — to receive such honors.
Senior Wesley Berg and sophomore Christian Burgdorf were second-team selections. Sophomore Zach Miller was selected to the third team, while seniors Erik Adamson and Carson Cannon earned honorable mention nods.
The seven honorees are the most in a single season for the Pioneers, besting the four they had in each of the previous four years.
