
Forecasters are calling for a high in Denver on Monday of 87 degrees before a chance of afternoon and early evening thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service in Boulder is calling for light winds and sunny skies in the city before the unsettled weather moves in.

“The storms will produce gusty winds to 60 mph along with small hail and brief heavy rain,” the weather service said in a bulletin. “An isolated severe storm is possible over the far Eastern Plains where better instability will exist.”
Warm weather is expected again Tuesday before cooler temperatures and a return of probable afternoon and evening storms is expected.
“Moist southwesterly flow aloft will develop over the state Wednesday that continues through the weekend,” the bulletin said.
Thunderstorms on Wednesday will have the potential to be severe, federal forecasters say, with large hail, gusty winds and possibly a few tornadoes.

“Later in the week, afternoon and evening thunderstorms will also contain the threat of locally heavy rainfall,” the bulletin said.
