Classes have been cancelled for the remained of the day Monday at Noel Community Arts School in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood because of an area power outage.
Denver Public Schools said at about 11:30 a.m. that students were being released for the day.
The district said Xcel Energy estimated it could take up to 16 hours to restore power to the school, located on the DPS Montbello Campus.
The campus also houses Montbello High School and the Denver Center for International Studies at Montbello. DPS did not say if those schools have been impacted by the outage.
