Three Fort Carson soldiers were injured in a combat vehicle crash during training Tuesday night at the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site in southeastern Colorado.

The Mountain Post said one of the soldiers was medically evacuated to a hospital in Pueblo while the two others were treated at a brigade medical facility.

The soldiers were in an eight-tire Stryker armored vehicle when it crashed at about 10:30 p.m.

“The cause of the accident is under investigation,” the Army said in a news release. “As soon as additional details become available, they will be provided.”

In February, when a Stryker crashed during a training mission at Fort Carson.

Staff Sgt. Justin L. Holt, 31, was killed in the wreck.

The Army has not released its findings in an investigation into that crash.
