COLORADO SPRINGS —The discovery of a woman’s body early Wednesday at a north Colorado Springs apartment led to a search for a white Toyota, the temporary closure of a street in the Old Farm neighborhood and a reported police pursuit in the evening that ended in a crash.
Police have detained at least one man, but have released few other details of the death and subsequent investigative activities.
Officers confirmed that a crash just before 6:30 p.m. on Research Parkway may be related to the death investigation.
Earlier Wednesday afternoon, another car sought by police was stopped on the 5200 block of North Farmingdale Drive near Austin Bluffs Parkway after a tip from a citizen, police said.
Residents near that scene said police officers had what appeared to be guns or stun guns drawn when a man stepped from the vehicle.
