Children’s Hospital Colorado was named one of the top five pediatric centers in the country by U.S. News & World Report, which released its 2015-16 list of the best Tuesday.

Families can look up the new rankings and detailed information about each hospital for free at to help guide decisions about where to get treatment for children with rare or life-threatening conditions.

In the 2015-16 rankings, 83 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. Twelve hospitals were named to the “Honor Roll” – a distinction awarded to pediatric centers that provide especially high-quality care in three or more specialties.

Boston Children’s Hospital was ranked No. 1 in seven out of 10 specialties.

The 2015-16 Best Children’s Hospital Honor Roll:

1. Boston Children’s Hospital

2. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

3. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

4. Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston

5. Children’s Hospital Colorado, Aurora

The ninth annual rankings highlight the top centers in each of 10 pediatric specialties: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; diabetes and endocrinology; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and, pulmonology and urology.
