Golden City Council announced candidates for its city manager position at its meeting Thursday.
The five candidates are: Greg Caton, town manager of Oro Valley, Ariz.; Shane Hale, the city manager of Cortez; Aspen’s assistant city manager Randy Ready; Michael Redlinger, city manager of Moorhead, Minn.; and Jason Slowinski, manager of the village of Lake Zurich, Ill.
The candidates will be at a community meet-and-greet from 4-6 p.m. June 19 at Golden Community Center, 1470 10th St. At the event, citizens will hear from each candidate and be asked to write down their impressions, which will be given to council to ultimately help in the hiring decision.
Council, along with a panel of city managers from other cities, will conduct final interviews June 20 with the hopes of making a hiring decision within a week, said Karlyn Tilley, Golden’s communications manager.
