June 20: Bacon-themed costumes are welcome at the 6K offered as part of Frisco’s 22nd annual BBQ Challenge (June 19-20). The run is a 3.8-mile out-and-back run beginning at the Frisco Bay Marina. The race offers three waves including competitive, average and family/walk/jog. Start time is 9:30 a.m. Registration is $25 age 18 and over, $15 age 17 and under until noon June 19. Rendezvous Run for Independence
July 4: Winter Park’s 5-mile run/walk starts at 9 a.m. at the Vintage Hotel and follows a path through Winter Park Village, down Fraser River Trail and continues to the finish line. An after-party includes awards, prizes and refreshments. The race is offered as part of the annual Lance Gutersohn 4th of July celebration in Hideaway Park. June 20: The sixth annual ride encourages cyclists from novice to expert to “Explore, Discover and Experience” the city of Denver with four course options.
