Another couple who met on Colorado’s campaign trail is getting married, in this case Democrats Jessie Danielson and Andy Kabza.
She’s from Wheat Ridge and is serving her first term . He’s a senior vice president with . They met in 2011 when Kabza was running the House Majority Project and Danielson was serving as the state director of America Votes. The couple got engaged on Dec. 23.
Their wedding will be Saturday at the Lionscrest Manor in Lyons, with House Speaker Dickey Lee Hullinghorst officiating.
“We are especially proud that our grandparents will be in attendance,” Kabza said.
“My Grandpa Jack Hilton is 95 and is flying in from Airdrie, Alberta, to attend. He is a decorated RAF/RCAF veteran of WWII. Jessie’s Grandma Janice and Grandpa Gerald Rasey of Wheat Ridge will be attending as well. Gerry is a decorated WWII vet who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, winning the Bronze Star.”
