1 Man attacks police, knocked unconscious. A man who previously tried to lure two young girls into his car led police on a foot chase through the 800 block of Van Gordon Street in Lakewood on June 6. It ended when he was knocked out after fighting a police officer and attempting to grab his gun.

2 Reconciliation effort fails. Things didn’t go according to plan for a couple hoping to reignite a failed relationship June 9 in the 400 block of South Taft Street in Lakewood. A few days after letting his ex-wife move back in with him, a fight erupted over his previous female roommate. Police arrested the man for breaking his ex’s dishes in the front yard.

3 DUI suspect holding pill cornucopia. Responding to a report of a car wreck June 3 in the 7300 block of West Florida Avenue in Lakewood, police found a driver who had just smashed his truck into an apartment building asleep behind the wheel. After he was arrested, officers found hundreds of prescription pills in 24 varieties.

4 House guest robs host. A man who didn’t have money to lend a former co-worker instead allowed him to stay at his house in the 8400 block of West 14th Avenue in Lakewood for a few days. Weeks later, the man had outstayed his welcome and was asked to leave. He left May 15, but not before stealing the homeowner’s credit card and using it throughout Lakewood.

5 Police cuff domestic violence suspect. A day of heavy drinking ended June 3 in the 5800 block of West Fifth Avenue in Lakewood when a man accused his girlfriend of cheating before he punched her multiple times. He was arrested shortly afterward.
