Plans are advancing on a $45 million expansion and renovation of Colorado College’s Tutt Library.
“It will become an academic hub and the brain of the campus,” said Brian Young, chief technology officer at CC and a member of the library renovation team.
The college still is finalizing the design, Young said, with construction about a year out.
“We’re just getting from conceptual to starting schematic design,” he said.
The project is part of a long-range goal to modernize the campus and make the library more accommodating to college’s academic schedule, called the Block Plan, which the college created after the library was built.
