Getting your player ready...

Interview with Karen Stackpole, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: Much like many other moms in Parker, I’d driven by the course when it was closed the last few years. Last year, I stopped working in the corporate world, and from that transition an opportunity to lease the miniature golf course was born.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: We have many events and fundraisers planned for the summer. Monday night is family night, with $3 mini golf. We have a family day planned with pony rides and a bounce house, we have teamed up with a brewery across the street for a date night and we are excited to hold our first mini golf tournament.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: It is a great feeling to see the kids so excited to play mini golf, and to give something back to the wonderful Parker community.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Letting folks in the community know we are open has been challenging. It’s a seasonal sport, so we’ve had to spread the word and use social media as much as we could.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: I spent 20 years in the environmental industry. When I stopped working last year, I was a national director of environmental programs for a large engineering company.
