LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Former Arkansas and NFL running back Cedric Cobbs was arrested on a charge of promoting prostitution.

Pulaski County Jail records show that Cobbs, 34, was booked into jail Friday about 1:30 a.m. CDT. No attorney was listed for him.

According to the arrest report, Cobbs drove a woman to a hotel Thursday night where she had arranged to have sex for money with an undercover police officer. Cobbs was arrested in the parking lot by other officers.

He was at Arkansas from 1999 to 2003. In the NFL he played a total of five games with the Patriots and Broncos, finishing with 59 yards rushing on 25 carries.
