
Police in Denver have arrested a 17-year-old boy after one person was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle crash overnight.
Denver police said the crash happened at Federal Boulevard and West 23rd Avenue, according to a tweet posted to the department’s official account about 3 a.m. Monday.
One of the two vehicles rolled and a female victim died on the way to the hospital, police said. A male suffered serious injuries in the crash, but is expected to survive.
Police say a third person suffered a minor injury.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the crash and is suspected of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, police said. He’s being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
Police said high speed played a role in the crash.
Police did not identify the victims or the suspect.
Federal Boulevard was shut down in both directions while police investigated the wreck.
