When Jon Shockness released his earlier this month, the track served both as his solo debut and an announcement that he is leaving .

Today, he made his departure Facebook official: “Friends. This is gonna be my last show with the band. Please come out and show your support. It’s gonna be the best set we’ve ever played.”

Shockness’ last show with Air Dubai will be on Aug. 14 during in Fort Collins.

Since Shockness formed Air Dubai with fellow emcee Julian Church back in 2008, the band has worked its way beyond local stardom and into a national spotlight with its pop-adjacent hip-hop and soul. Last year, the group was on board for the 20th Vans Warped Tour and released an album, “Be Calm,” with Los Angeles-based Hopeless Records. Before that, they were touring with the likes of K. Flay, Bad Rabbits, Jake Miller, SOJA and Marianas Trench. An Air Dubai song was on the “Jersey Shore” soundtrack and another made its debut on MTV.com.

As of right now, it’s unclear what Air Dubai will do next.
