The has long been a staple on the upper reaches of Denver’s 16th Street Mall. How long? Well, the place is celebrating its 30th anniversary Aug. 7-9.
Sitting just around the corner from its its namesake theater, the rock-‘n’-roll themed restaurant and bar is patting itself on the back with three days of activities. The lineup:
Friday, Aug. 7: The festivities start with Service Industry Team Trivia from 10:30 p.m.-midnight. The first place team will win $200 cash and bragging rights, and runners up also get prizes.
Saturday, Aug. 8 is Family, Friends, and Alumni night. It runs 6 p.m.-1 a.m. with a DJ performing from 8 p.m. on. Giveaways include a New Belgium cruiser bike and a 55-inch flat-screen TV.
Sunday, Aug. 9, the fun moves outdoors with an “’80s Bash.” The Paramount’s patio will be extended to the 16th Street Mall median with yard games and a band that will perform hits from the decade from noon to 3 p.m.
It may be too warm to don that Members Only jacket with pushed-up sleeves, but you can still moonwalk to your hearts content.
