If you’re wondering why rerecorded versions of hits by Pitbull, Pharrell Williams, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars are so appealing to the younger set, look no farther than Kidz Bop. The 14-year-old brand, which started as series of compilation albums and now encompasses merchandising and cross-country tours, features kids singing sanitized, soundalike versions of radio hits, which has the effect of making them more relatable to children. Kidz Bop’s 40-city “Make Some Noise” tour stops by the Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, at 4 p.m. Saturday and the Pikes Peak Center, 190 S. Cascade Ave. in Colorado Springs, at 4 p.m. Sunday. Both shows are, naturally, all ages. Tickets: $25-$27.50. or TicketsWest.
