Even though issues surrounding the public consumption and social use of marijuana in Colorado are still plentiful, event planners in the Mile High are still finding ways to get high together.
And the state’s most recently announced event, a 420-friendly Harvest Dinner complete with a celebrity chef, will surely grab its share of headlines.
On Sept. 10, Boulder-based “Top Chef” champion Hosea Rosenberg will prepare a four-course dinner — with “each plate accompanied by its own cannabis and cocktail pairing,” according to a media release — for guests at the scenic in Boulder County, about 30 minutes north of Denver.

For those concerned about overindulging in smoke or drink, a shuttle will transport guests to the ranch from Denver and Boulder, making for a safer evening.
The Harvest Dinner is the brainchild of Boulder pot shop group , and the outfit is working with Chef Rosenberg’s restaurant on the food, 3 Chicks Bartending for the cocktails and Bec’s Buds and Blossoms for the floral arrangements.
“With this event we wanted to appeal to foodies, because that is who we are, and we see craft cannabis and farm-to-table food culture as inseparable,” said Headquarters owner Ashley Rheingold. “Hosea is such a terrific ambassador for Boulder and its food culture. … His name alone should be a sign that cannabis has arrived, and has a place at the table.”
Tickets to the 21-plus event, $150, are and include transportation, marijuana, food and beverages.
