executive chef Elise Wiggins will have a special guest in her restaurant Sept. 10: She is hosting Rick Tramonto, the James Beard Award-winning chef at Chicago’s Tru restaurant, for a special dinner to kick off the .

Tramonto, who now helms his own restaurant company, will be on hand for a cocktail meet and greet at 6 p.m. in the Hotel Monaco lobby followed by a four-course dinner in the dining room. Wine and cocktails courtesy the Panzano Panzano beverage team.

Wiggins’ menu will be inspired by two of Tramonto’s eight cookbooks, “Amuse Bouche” and “Steak With Friends.” Each guest will receive an autographed copy of a Tramonto cookbook.

Tickets are $100 per person including tax and gratuity for the main dining room and $125 per person for special chefs’ counter seating. Reservations can be made by calling Panzano at 303-296-3525.

A portion of the proceeds benefit Colorado ProStart, a high school hospitality education program of the Colorado Restaurant Association and the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.
