Re: “Three Denver area runners named semifinalists for Runner’s World cover,” Aug. 10 news story.

If the photos accompanying this article are indicative of the attire of these three runners, the winner of the cover of Runner’s World is a definite toss-up, as they are all appropriately clad. I am tired of seeing “runners” in grocery stores, doctors offices, etc., inappropriately dressed in what appears to be not much more than underwear.

I applaud the editors of the magazine who seem to have returned to their supposed purpose — encouraging runners — instead of the semi-porn covers of the past.
