Colorado Springs police have arrested a man for investigation of homicide in a stabbing death that happened early Saturday morning, authorities say.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family members.
Fernando Rosales, 33, has been arrested for investigation of second degree murder. The El Paso County District Attorney’s office will later decide formal charges.
Police were called at 2:45 a.m. about a stabbing on the 2500 block of Prescott Circle West, according to a news release by Lt. Catherine Buckley, spokeswoman for the police department.
A man was taken to a hospital suffering from stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead, Buckley says.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy on Monday.
