I don’t know whether to laugh or cry over the excuses given for not wanting to serve a gay couple a wedding cake because it offended the shopkeeper’s religion. Well, why stop there? How about a religious dentist refusing service to a gay person, or a heart surgeon refusing to operate because of a person’s sexual leaning? We live in a democracy where all religions are tolerated, but you cannot use religion, or the excuse that it offends your beliefs, to discriminate. You can like or dislike anyone you want. That is not against the law, but discrimination is.
