Benjamin Hochman will be missed. When I see his byline and (admittedly) goofy smile, I am immediately drawn to the column. His nine weekly installments about baseball this summer (“Nine Innings”) were all so different, but inspiring to those of us who love the game. They explained precisely why the game means so much to him. I know St. Louis will come to appreciate Hochman’s heartwarming look at not only sports, but life itself.
