Official on-ice preparations for the 20th Avalanche season begins in a little more than two weeks at its Centennial training facility, with the rookies opening Sunday, Sept. 13. They’ll skate for four consecutive days until joining the veterans at the Pepsi Center for the annual fitness day on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The two day, two-sheet training camp at Family Sports Center is Sept. 18-19, and open to the public. The annual Burgundy/White scrimmage — fittingly back at the University of Denver’s Magness Arena — is Sunday, Sept. 20.
