Federal agents are tight-lipped as authorities complete a southern Colorado law enforcement operation Tuesday morning that involves the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says agents are operating in the town of Cotopaxi, about 25 miles west of Cañon City.
“There is a multi-agency law enforcement action under way,” Jeff Dorschner, spokesman for Colorado’s U.S. Attorney’s Office said. “At this point, we cannot provide details as the documents authorizing this action have been sealed by the court.”
Dorschner said details on the case will be available later in the week.
“There is ongoing enforcement operations,” Special Agent Michael Moore of the DEA said.
Cpt. Jeff Worley, of the county sheriff’s office, said agents are wrapping up “some loose ends.”
