The Denver Police Department is investigating a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Denver that left two people seriously injured on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of East 7th Avenue and North Corona Street around 4 p.m., police said.

The two people injured — at least one seriously — were riding the motorcycle, said Denver police spokesman Eranda Piyasena.

Their identities have not yet been released.

Road closures are in effect for the surrounding area, Piyasena said.

Earlier Monday morning, at East 6th Avenue and Columbine Street.

The rider’s identity, age and gender have not been released.

in a collision with a car at South Sheridan Boulevard and West Kentucky Avenue, Jackson said. That person’s name also has not been released.
