The body of a 37-year-old woman, who was reported missing last week, was found Wednesday afternoon in Morgan County.
The death of Laurie Janae Teter is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office announced the discovery Wednesday on its Facebook page.
Her body was found near the intersection of county roads U.5 and 24, northeast of Fort Morgan.
She was last seen in the area “following a fight with her boyfriend,” the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office announced Teter as missing on Sept. 3.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause and manner of her death. An investigation is ongoing.
