A man who was trying to retrieve a friend’s hat that had blown off, Denver Police said Monday.
The man, who was intoxicated, attempted to jump from one landing to another that was separated by a gap.
“As the victim attempted to jump to the other landing he missed, falling several stories and landing on a concrete ramp,” according to a police report.
On arrival at Denver Health Medical Center he was listed in critical condition.
The man’s name has not been released.
