1Man asks for a buck, kicks woman. On Sept. 2, a woman called Denver police after she and her friend were accosted by a man in the 1400 block of Logan Street. The woman said she was walking with her friend when a man approached and asked for $1. When they said they didn’t have money the man demanded money, kicked the woman in the legs and tried to grab her purse.

2Woman robbed while texting. A woman called Denver police Sept. 5 after she was robbed at gunpoint while texting in her car in the 7500 block of East Quincy Avenue. The woman said three suspects approached, one pulled out a handgun and demanded her money. She gave her wallet, but later found it three parking spaces away with nothing missing.

3Brothers fight in parking garage, damage cars.On Sept. 5, Denver police responded to a fight between two brothers in the parking garage of the Holiday Inn, 455 S. Colorado Blvd. The suspects damaged a security device, shattered a car window and damaged another.

4Man punched at tattoo parlor. A man called Denver police on Sept. 4 after he was punched by a man at Marion Street Tattoo and Gallery, 2823 E. Colfax Ave. The suspect was positively identified and later located and arrested.

5Threats over a phone. On Sept. 7, an employee at Metro PCS, 4801 Pecos St., called Denver police to report that a man who had previously made threats had returned. The employee said the man was frustrated that his phone didn’t work and previously threatened to kill another employee. When he returned, she called 911.
