Last year, and other local outlets reported that the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of the Juggalos festival was set to hit Colorado in 2017.

That insane clown dream has now ended.

Colorado is no longer in contention for this year’s Gathering, according to Jason Webber, the director of publicity for Insane Clown Posse’s . The label first announced the news in a recent episode of .

“We announced last year we were going to try to do it in Colorado, but we weren’t able to find any grounds in Colorado that could do it,” Webber said in a phone interview on Monday. “It sucks.”

That’s bad news for Denver’s Insane Clown Posse fans. But if you’re going to the Gathering regardless, Webber teased that the location for this year’s event has been narrowed down to two places, and will be announced “likely this week or next week.”

It might sound like a , but all hope isn’t completely lost for future Gatherings in Colorado. Webber said that it’s possible that the event could still come to Colorado at some point in the future, provided they’re able to find the right grounds for it.

“If someone out there has a property with several hundred acres and is open to hosting the Gathering, yeah, absolutely” it could come to Colorado, Webber said. “But all the obvious places aren’t big enough.”

Who knows if and when the Gathering might come to Colorado. In the meantime, take solace in  showing the beginning stages of Juggalo-ism.
