
Rapids head coach Pablo Mastroeni will be back for 2016, but with the help of an offensive-minded assistant coach — that’s according to the Denver Post’s , citing inside sources near the top of the Rapids’ organization.

“Here’s a scoop for you,” Paige said. “Pablo’s not going anywhere, they’re going to get him some help as head coach.”
A Rapids’ spokesman declined to comment on this report Thursday morning.
Last month, when asked about the coach’s future, Rapids president , but that he’d be evaluating the final stretch of games in 2015.
“Right now, all things considered, we’d like to make sure he’s here,” Hinchey said in August. “The goal was to bring him in as a new coach and groom him and grow him and mentor him and give the opportunity to be the guy. I don’t think we can make a proper evaluation until this year’s over.”
