Broomfield police on Saturday arrested a man after responding to a disturbance call where they found a 54-year-old man dead of gunshot wounds.
Matthew Britton, 33, was at the scene of the shooting, a home at 815 Lotus Way, when police arrived, and arrested for first degree murder, and felony menacing, domestic violence and criminal attempt, said Sgt. Steve Griebel.
A woman was also at the home, Griebel said. “I can’t tell how she was involved in it.”
Police were called to the home at 12:47 p.m. The victim, who hasn’t been identified, was dead at the scene.
The case is under investigation.
