1 Man exposes himself to women, eludes police. On Sept. 14, two women called police from Lair O’ the Bear Park, Morrison, where they said they encountered a man masturbating who followed them and exposed himself to them. A Jeffco Sheriff’s deputy reported encountering a man walking along Colorado 74 when en route to the park and who fit the women’s description of the suspect. Deputies tried to relocate the man but were unsuccessful.

2 Man punched, bitten at Walmart. Jeffco deputies went to Walmart, 952 Swede Gulch Road, Evergreen, on a report of a disturbance Sept. 18. A man told them that after he parked near the automotive entrance, another man approached, yelling, punched him multiple times and bit him in the back of the head. The suspect said he confronted the victim about aggressive driving and claimed he also threw punches, but that was not corroborated by witnesses. The suspect was issued a summons for third-degree assault.

3 Artwork theft. On Sept. 14., the manager of a group home in the 600 block of Washington Avenue, Golden, reported that artwork depicting American Indians, valued at $25, was taken and replaced with a still-life of flowers. The manager suspected a former resident who was kicked out and had a known affinity for the picture.

4 Theft of random items. Golden police went to First United Methodist Church, 1500 Ford St., on Sept. 11 on a report of missing items: an “old” microwave, a flat-panel television and a brass table lamp. Other, more expensive items in the church were left untouched.
