The between TEGNA (formerly Gannett) and Colorado-based DISH continues with a new deadline of Thursday at 5 p.m.

Denver’s KUSA-Channel 9 could go dark for Dish viewers if an agreement isn’t reached between the satellite giant and the broadcaster over carriage fees.

The companies have agreed to a 24-hour contract extension as talks continue.

Viewers have been alerted, in a crawl running on Channel 9 (and Tegna stations around the country) that they are on the verge of losing “favorite NBC programming.”

The current agreement was scheduled to expire at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
