Loveland police are investigating the circumstances of a man’s death Thursday morning after his body was discovered in a garage, police say.

Police are not releasing the cause of death. They are describing the victim only as a man.

“We treat them as a homicide until we determine a different cause of death,” said Sgt. Justin Chase, spokesman for the Loveland Police Department.

Chase said school officials and parents of children attending Monroe Elementary School were notified about the investigation because the body was found in a home near the school and there is a large police presence on the block, he said.

Police were called about the death on the 1500 block of North Monroe Avenue at 6:11 a.m., Chase said.

The dead man , Chase said. His body was lying in the garage.
