If you love the fall weather that is settling in, and you’re a lover of the arts, this weekend is for you. The new Cherry Arts at Stanley kicks off Friday, October 23. It’s essentially another variety of the renowned fourth-of-July-weekend , .
This weekend event will be a mix of indoor/outdoor showcase space featuring a nationally juried art show, with furniture, jewelry, paintings, glass work, metal art and, sculptures.
The “canvas” for this art extravaganza is the Stanley Aviation building that is being transformed into a food-centric, community-inspired multi-use marketplace in the Stapleton neighborhood. This weekend’s festival goers will get a sneak peek of the retailers and restaurants that will open for business when Stanley Marketplace debuts in early 2016.
The events get started Friday evening with a ticketed Grand Tasting event featuring wine, food tastings, artistic libations from mixologist and live music by Winehouse. As visitors enjoy the open-bar experience they can relax on luxury living vignettes, enjoy culinary demonstrations and find the perfect piece of art to fit into their living space.
