A new music venue called Globe Hall in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood on Nov. 4.

The combination concert space/barbecue restaurant will occupy 4483 Logan Street, the building formerly known as St. Jacob’s Lodge Hall.

Globe Hall’s concert space holds 200 people and will host shows on Fridays and Saturdays. A preliminary show schedule has been announced for the venue’s first month, including two no-cover concerts to mark its opening weekend. will headline the venue’s inaugural show on Nov. 6 and will play on Nov. 7. The concept for the space was inspired by the many dance halls, barbecue joints and dive bars of owner Jeff Cornelius’ native Texas. Cornelius has brought in a 6,600-pound rotisserie–the biggest model of its kind in production–to smoke the restaurant’s meats.

Though only local bands have been booked so far, Globe Hall’s PR rep Aubrey Cornelius stated they would be open to booking nationally touring acts in the future. Cornelius also stressed that the both the venue and the restaurant are an equal priority. “They’re two buildings, but it’s a symbiotic relationship,” Cornelius said.
