Make it a four-peat for Colorado Academy.
The top-ranked field hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to 70 games and made it four consecutive state titles with a 1-0 victory over No. 3 Cherry Creek on Saturday night at All-City Stadium.
The game was deadlocked at zeros until well after halftime.
Senior Sammy Little scored the only goal of the game — her second of the season — to give the Mustangs (17-0-1) the advantage with just over 15 minutes left to play.
Cherry Creek (11-4-1), in its sixth title game appearance, had a couple of opportunities to score but couldn’t capitalize.
The Mustangs won their fifth field hockey state title. They have made 11 appearances in the finals.
