, the late cultural and civic leader, will be honored Monday with a public memorial service at the .

Seawell, who shepherded the massive project into existence and was once publisher of The Denver Post, died Sept. 30 in Denver. He was 103.

The service will be held at 5 p.m. in DPAC’s Seawell Grand Ballroom, which bears his name. Seating will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Scheduled speakers include Gov. John Hickenlooper; William Dean Singleton, chairman of The Denver Post; DCPA board chairman Daniel L. Ritchie; DCPA president and CEO Scott Shiller; DCPA Theater Company producing artistic director Kent Thompson; DCPA trustee Judi Wolf; and Brett Wilbur, Seawell’s granddaughter.

The program will include performances of songs selected by . The lineup includes “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “My Way,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” “I’ll Be Seeing You” and “I Will Always Love You.”

Performers include Michael Fitzpatrick, Mary Louise Lee, M. Scott McLean, Jeffrey Roark, Christine Rowan, Lauren Shealy and Shannan Steele, with music direction by David Nehls.
