With two seats up for grabs in Aurora’s at-large City Council race, incumbent Bob LeGare and newcomer Angela Lawson won Tuesday night.

LeGare had 28.2 percent of the vote, and Lawson had 28.5 percent, according to the final unofficial tally. Lawson becomes the third new face on the council.

The vote will be considered certified Nov. 17.

Five seats were up for grabs on the City Council.

Mayor Steve Hogan ran unopposed for a second term.

In the Ward 4 race, former City Attorney Charlie Richardson won with 56 percent of the vote, and challenger Joe Lewis had 44 percent.

Richardson will replace term-limited City Councilwoman Molly Markert. Ward 4 is north of Cherry Creek Reservoir.

In Ward 5, incumbent Bob Roth defeated two challengers with 62.7 percent of the vote. Cheri McElhiney had 19.9 percent, and Livia Payne had 17.3 percent.
