A man wanted in connection with a weekend home invasion burglary in Adams County was arrested Monday night.
Carlos Ayala, 26, was arrested around 8 p.m. without incident in Denver by Denver SWAT, according to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Ayala was wanted for involvement in an Oct. 31 burglary at the Coronado Crossing Apartments at 7050 Pecos St. in unincorporated Adams County, according to Sgt. Jim Morgen with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Ayala was stabbed in the chest, stomach and back while attempting to rob a homeowner, the release said.
He fled from Denver Health Medical Center when he was later recognized as a suspect in the home invasion.
Ayala is charged with aggravated robbery, burglary and felony menacing.
