The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 have been reopened in Silverthorne on Friday afternoon after closing because of several crashes in the area.
The Colorado Department of Transportation announced the closure to the Eisenhower-Johnson Tunnels about 1:10 p.m. The interstate’s lanes were reopened about 2 p.m.
The I-70 mountain corridor has seen intermittent closures Friday as it is hammered by heading into the Denver area.
